Luck of the Irish

Happy Patrick's Day!

I hope everyone is having an amazing St. Patrick's Day so far. Does anyone have any crazy and fun plans for tonight? Please share with this lame teacher who is probably going to go to bed at 9 o'clock. Not that I don't love St. Patrick's Day, but there is just nothing appealing to me about being hungover and dealing with 5 year olds. Oh and did I mention I have to give a presentation to next year's kindergarten parents tomorrow night?

Last time St. Patrick's Day was on a Wednesday, here I was...

Yes that is a Starbucks apron...
Apparently sophomore year of college Kelly is less concerned about Thursday mornings :) Oh and I'm sure you are also wondering why I have braids in my hair. Sophomore year of college Kelly had just returned from Aruba.

Yes, life was good.
But last year's St. Patrick's Day was fun too (I celebrated on the weekend haha)

So how did I celebrate this year?
Last night I really wanted oatmeal for dinner, but I also knew I needed some veggies so I made an Irish flag of veggies :)

Zucchini, Parsnips & Carrots!
Oh and I also packed my gym bag with...

On the right: my clothes for the gym
On the left: my clothes for work

Sure, I may not be fun on St. Patrick's Day anymore, but I can still dress like it, right?

Do you celebrate St. Patrick's Day? How? What is your favorite St. Patrick's Day memory?

If you are not a St. Patrick's Day person, what is your favorite green veggie?

  2. Everyone outside is drunk and yelling. I am jealous. What kind of teacher schedules a test the day after St. Patty's day? REALLY!?
But I like your green, I was surprised how many people wore green today!

  12. I've never really celebrated St. Patrick's Day, other than the traditional meal my mom used to make. I think you made a good call...five year olds are a handful even when you are on the top of your game. (And their parents can be too!)
