Just Some Fun

Hi all. I had another depressing day so instead of getting into it I'm going to do a little fun recap that Lisa does on her blog once a month :)

Current Book(s):

Right now I'm reading American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld. I'm about halfway through- I love it so far.

Last week I finished The Abstinence Teacher by Tom Perrotta. I wasn't really a fan of this book. It was just weird for me I guess. And there was really no ending at all...

Current Music:

In general I'd say I'm in a bit of a music rut. And this morning I was listening to the radio and I decided my least favorite song of the past few years is Taylor Swift- You Belong to Me. I just really dislike that song haha. Nothing against Taylor's music in general, just that song. I need some new good music, any ideas?

Current Shame-Inducing Guilty Pleasure:

Edy's vanilla bean ice cream cups- though honestly I'll tell anyone, I'm not ashamed :)

Current Colors:

always pink, also right now loving purple, greens and summery orange :)

Current Obsessions:

bright spring clothes and warm weather

Current Drink:

I am a water only drinker- with a little bit of beer and wine here and there.

Current Song:

I have basically been listening to Clay Walker, "A Few Questions" on repeat. It's not a new song or even new to me, but it's just hitting home. Though I don't think I'd be as nice as he is being in the song.

Current Movie:

My favorite movie I've seen recently was Couples Retreat. Also really liked Blind Side.

Current TV Shows:

House, American Idol, Little People Big World and Desperate Housewives. Oh yes, and I love Chronicle but I think thats a local show only so half of you probably think I'm crazy :)

Current Wish-List:

A new yoga towel, an endless supply of Lululemon clothing, and an elliptical in my house...nothing cheap thats for sure!

Current Needs:

Lots of kindergarten hugs.

Current Triumph:

Finally doing laundry last night. I didn't want to do it while the water was yucky, and my yoga stuff was getting nasty!

Current Bane of my Existence:

DEFINITELY BLOGGING SOFTWARE. None of it will work for me. And yes, I had to do this post twice before it worked. Grr.

Current Goal:

31 days of yoga...or I guess I should say doing yoga 31 times in 31 days because I couldn't go today. I swear I had a good excuse. Just trying to figure out how in the world I am going to go tomorrow...this was a bad idea clearly.

-My more realistic goal is to enjoy the last month and a half of school with my kiddos. I love my class this year and recent events have made it even more important to enjoy the time we have together instead of simply wishing for the summer.

Current Indulgence:

Skyping with Katie on Tuesday nights :)

Current Blessings:

my family and friends always, my cute kiddos at work

Current Slang or Saying:

"I hate weddings" oops I mean... of course I don't :) Nothing else comes to mind though.

Current (Fav) Outfit:

Up until this week it was dresses with leggings, but this week it's been 80 so just dresses period.

Current Excitement:

I don't think I have any obligations this weekend, wahoooo!...I shouldn't speak too soon huh?

Current Mood:

pensive?

  4. Uh oh, that's not a great favorite saying. ;) You'll be happy DURING and AFTER... just maybe not so much in the lead-up.

Hoping things are brighter for you tomorrow.

  5. Yoga mat from the last post, enjoy!

Noticed you want a yoga towel, in my yoga faq post, I linked and talked about the Lumi brand. Not lululemon. Lumi. THE BEST. And manduka is the best mats, ever. If you're serious, just my .02 about really good equipment that will last you a decade, i kid you not.

Thx for your totally awesome comment and for saying my eats aren't repeitive..ok, thank you!!!!

  11. I need to do a post like this sometime soon, for sure. I'm glad you aren't REALLY ashamed of your vanilla bean ice cream, you shouldn't be! There is much worse out there, obviously.
I saw the Blind Side the other day and loved it too. I cried, and I RARELY cry at movies!

  12. Love the questions. I am not ashamed of my cookie addiction - which has gotten worse in the last few weeks as stress has dramatically increased.

    I also love Desperate Housewives!

Hope today is a better day for you!
