Wahoo, my wedding invitations are officially out- I received my first, "I GOT YOUR INVITATION" phone call today!
Anyway, I liked the Ten on Tuesday today, so here it goes...
1. What was your high school superlative (if you didn’t have one- what would it have been)?
We didn't actually have superlatives (or anything that could be interpreted as "competitive") and I had no idea so I consulted one of my high school best friends and she said "most likely to be friends with everyone (even people she hates)" haha...that's a nice one I think :) ...I swear I didn't hate too many people...did I? Sarah also had some other ideas, but this was the only "blog appropriate" one...gotta love old friends! And to think that the only one I came up with for myself was "Biggest Goody Two Shoes" haha...I clearly fooled even MYSELF into believing that!
2. What sports did you play in high school?
I played soccer freshman year and ice hockey sophomore and junior year. I was more sporty in middle school but by high school when it got really competitive I was over it...and not good enough haha, so forced to be over it.
3. What was the best part about your wedding (if you’re not married yet, what are you looking forward to)?
I think I am most looking forward to having all my friends and family in one place- for once I will be an event where I don't have to make new friends because I know most everyone already!
Oh, and listening to Katie's speech at the RD and Caroline's at the wedding will be good too- no pressure girls :)
4. It’s your last meal– what Appetizer, Soup, Salad, Entree and Dessert would you choose?
Like Lisa mentioned in hers...I am assuming I can eat anything at my last meal without my tummy hurting? Fantastic.
Appetizer: Amazing sour dough bread with hummus...or Bertuccis rolls
Soup: My mom's carrot ginger soup
Salad: Ha no way...I don't want a salad this is my last meal people!
Entree: Honey baked ham with mashed potatoes (made with butter, I love my chicken broth but this is my last meal here), my mom's amazing stuffing, and broccoli in soy sauce that my mom also makes
Dessert: My mom's lemon meringue pie (do you sense a theme here? my mom clearly has to be around for this last meal) with a side of Cake Boss yellow cake with chocolate AND vanilla frosting. If I still had room, I'd wash it all down with some Four Seas pink mint chip ice cream. Yum.
5. What song is your guilty pleasure?
Can't believe I am going to admit this but I actually kind of like the Miley Cyrus song "The Climb" Pathetic. I know. I swear I don't like any other songs by her!
6. What is your favorite professional sports team, and why do you like them?
Hmm...I'll give you all one guess!
Did you guess Red Sox?! My readers are so smart!
7. What is your favorite reality show and why do you like it?
American Idol. I also consider this a bit of a guilty pleasure. I just really love listening to people sing (though I hate the theme weeks I have to say, I like it better when they pick their own songs from anything) and I love watching this with my friends...or "with" Katie through Skype now haha.
8. How would you classify your home decorating style (modern, classic, french country)?
Um...I barely know what any of those home decorating styles are, but I'd say my general rule of thumb when it comes to decorating is: consult Mom.
9. Pizza- deep dish or thin crust? White sauce or red sauce? What toppings?
Definitely thin crust- I really don't get the appeal of deep dish. These days since I don't eat cheese my favorite pizza has tomato sauce, squash or zuccini, carrots, mushrooms and black beans. Yum.
10. Favorite weekend getaway within a two hour driving radius?
Easy. Cape Cod!!!
I really want to know what your high school superlative was, or what you think it might have been :) And any other questions you feel like answering!
In high school, I was really trying to win the "sleeps most in class" superlative, but I didn't.
ReplyDeleteI also would claim The Climb as my guilty pleasure like.. and after our spring break where we played it allt he time.. i will add party in the usa .. but only when we do our super special dance moves!
ReplyDeleteSHOOT...I like Party in the USA too, I totally lied about not liking her other songs!
ReplyDeleteyeah for invites!!!
ReplyDeletei like a few miley songs, it's suprising actually the number of us that do
What are you talking about THE CLIMB IS INSPIRING! haha. Oh good call on Party in the USA. I swear I'm not a crazy miley fan. Only Hannah Montana.
ReplyDeleteyour superlative now would be "most likely to be eating cheerios"
How exciting about your wedding invites!
ReplyDeleteI am so out of the loop, I don't even know about this Miley Cyrus song. ;) It's funny that my guilty pleasure song is by a guy from American Idol & I have never seen the show! :)
ReplyDeleteIt has been so fun reading everyone's final meals. It's funny because I was like - ooo, I can have gluten! And then some of the things were gluten free! So I guess I have gotten over the fact that I can't have it & have new favorite foods or something!
Haha my superlative was Next Anchor of the Today Show/
ReplyDeleteso exciting about the invites! I liked this...you may see my answers pop up soon :)
ReplyDeleteI am SO with you on the Bertuccis rolls! Definitely looking forward to enjoying some this summer when I am back in the states for a visit.
ReplyDeleteWhen I sent out my wedding invitations, everything became so real! You're in the home stretch now!
ReplyDeleteWait, your favorite reality show isn't Little People, Big World?! hehe, I had to say that :)
ReplyDeleteI am similar to oyu in that I played more sports in middle school because I really wasn't into all the seriousness and competition of high school, just not my thing.
I also would have a FANTASTIC cake as my last dessert!!! The cake boss would make it amazing, nice choice!
I have "The Climb" on my iPod too! I used to have a bunch of Miley songs but honestly, I got sick of the rest of them. Still have that one though. :)
ReplyDeleteSo exciting about your wedding invites! I remember when mine went out...
ReplyDeleteI did not receive a superlative in high school but if I did, it would probably be something about being nerdy!
I have Lindsay Lohan's Rumors on my ipod - I also have Miley's See You again on my ipod...
I'm a graphic design student and am always intrigued with how creative some designers get with invitations, especially for weddings. I'm curious how you went about designing your wedding invitations. Did you go through a designer? or upload a pre-made design from the internet? Use a print shop? Care to share?
ReplyDeleteI was "most smiley"...haha!
ReplyDeleteMy superlative was "Most Involved" and I guess that still fits because I still try to do everything. I like that last meal questions...it would have to include pizza, ice cream and Longhorns fillet and mash potatoes
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have superlatives at my high school but I think mine would be "Biggest Wallflower" or something lame like that, haha.
ReplyDeleteHey, how does your mom make broccoli with soy sauce? Any special techniques?
