Happy

Good morning everyone. How is everyone's weekend going so far? My college roommate is visiting because she had a residency interview in Boston yesterday, so last night we had a girls night (plus Eric, what a good sport) at my house. It was a wonderful way to spend a Friday night.

Happy.

There are a lot of things I do not miss about college: never getting enough sleep, hours of library time, the dining hall, sitting in really boring classes...

However, the one thing I do miss all the time is sitting with my roommates and watching TV/chatting about our day every night. It was so easy to have so many of your friends right there. Though I really enjoy having Eric right there, he does not usually enjoy the same TV as me...haha

Last night was kinda like the best of both worlds, I had some of my college roommates there to control the TV and Eric was there too...hehe

If you are in college now, what do you think you will miss most when you are 3 + years out of school? If you are out of college (or way out of college), what do you miss most?

Currently Ash and I are enjoying something else I miss about college, sitting at Panera eating delicious food and getting work done (though it was usually Starbucks in college...see above about never getting enough sleep).

I hope everyone has a great Saturday!

  5. My roomie of 4 years/BFF from college and I always had dinner dates at Bertuccis bc we love the rolls. I have not lived in a city with a Bertuccis since college. :0(

I miss having night chats before falling asleep because my husband just doesn't do those...

  6. My husband and I had that a conversation the other night about what age we'd like to go back to and stay at. We both picked 22. Those were the good ol' days that's for sure!

Looks like you had a great night with good friends :)

  9. When I'm out of college, I think I'll miss having pockets of time throughout the day. I'll probably be working a 9-5 job or whatever. Sounds like a really fun night though :)

  10. I miss college. I really miss being surrounded by my friends and having a bit more of a carefree life. LOL. Now, I have more responsibility with a real job, owning a home, etc. Sounds like you guys had a great night. I LOVE the movie LOVE ACTUALLY!

  11. That sounds like so much fun : ) Love Actually is a great movie, I think we're watching it tonight!
I agree with Anne, I'm definitely going to miss all the free time and flexibility of college. I think sometimes I will miss having people around all the time, and other times I definitely won't haha.

  16. I'm 2 years out now and I think what I miss most is having my friends around nonstop. Also, I went to an amazing small liberal arts school and I miss the sense of community; we were so small that I could walk down the sidewalk and know everybody and always have someone to eat with or shop with or get into shenanigans with. I kind of miss small town life (I live in a big urban city)...great questions!
I'm glad you had fun with your friends!

  19. What a perfect evening!! I miss the same thing about college. I lived in a sorority, so all of my closest friends were just down the hall from me. I miss eating meals with them, watching tv, or just hanging out and procrastinating together. It's getting harder and harder for us to see each other on a consistent basis now that we are older. :(
