Hello everyone. Happy It's-Almost-Friday!
#1- Yesterday I continued the pumpkin craze (I can still do that til the end of November, right?) with my new creation pumpkin mashed potatoes. I didn't use any specific recipe or even look up to see if any pumpkin crazy person has ever thought of this before (I'm guessing yes). I simply made regular mashed potatoes using chicken broth and then threw in some pumpkin at the end. Then I turned the mixer back on and my mashed potatoes became an awesome orange color!
Oh yes, and in case you were wondering they were absolutely delicious. There they are with my last salmon patty from Trader Joe's. I have to get back there sometime soon to get more of those, so easy to make! #2- I started the scary prospect of thinking about Christmas gifts this week. I know it's a little early but I am going to try to really bargain shop this year and get things done earlier. I want nothing to do with searching for a parking space at any store in mid-December. I know I should set up a budget so I don't spend too much but I have no idea where to even start with a budget? How much is a reasonable amount to spend on Christmas gifts? I think I normally just buy and then later wonder where my money went. I am following this calendar that gives you great present ideas each day, but I feel like I never get too many ideas online/in magazines. So...I'm looking for your best holiday gift ideas, best ways to save money, etc...
#3- My sister started a blog, whoa hoo! Go visit her here: Caroline's Blog!
I started thinking about gifts too. It does seem crazy, but when you are a planned person, it's normal!
