Elliptical Challenge Winner & Ten on Tues.

Happy Tuesday everyone. I know, what is happy about Tuesday? Well- mainly the fact that I'm home before 8:30pm, and Eric is making me sweet potato risotto for dinner. So, what's not to be happy about?
*If you did not do the Elliptical Challenge, you can skip down to Ten on Tuesday.

I know I promised to announce the Elliptical Challenge winner yesterday but then I remembered my Mondays are insane, so here it is today. First, I just want to say thank you SO much to everyone who participated in this challenge! It was so great for me to have a goal like this, and I felt like I was really helping some of you get to the gym when you may not have, which I love! Even though I joke about hating all the new people at the gym in January, I'm really happy when people go to the gym who might otherwise not :)
So, the random number generator tells me that the winning number is #4, which is...
SANA!
Sana is recovering from a back injury, which is why she wanted to befriend the Elliptical this month, and she did a great job with it.
Especially lucky for Sana is the fact that I cannot figure out how to buy a $10 Itunes giftcard, so I think it's going to $15 instead :) That's a lot of new music for your workouts! Congrats Sana!

I hope the rest of you that did not win still had fun and got some extra gym motivation :)

I've had some requests for a February challenge, but I'm sorry to say I'm taking a little break from challenges. I am traveling for a week this month which is going to make participating in challenges a bit difficult, and February/early March is a crazy time at work so I don't have a lot of organizing time. I'll start up a new challenge in March or April though, don't worry!

I have a ton ton of things to blog about, but I loved the Ten on Tuesday questions today, so I am answering them and I'll save all my other stuff for tomorrow + Thursday.

Ten on Tuesday

What is your favorite travel destination spot?
Wow, basically an impossible question. I have been so many places I love and everywhere has it's great things and a few negatives. It might be a tie between Australia and Italy...but Scotland is amazing too...and Ireland...and I just love traveling.

Cats vs. Dogs.
Dogs. But I don't have the time/desire to take care of one.

Do you believe in fate?
I believe that things happen for a reason, and sometimes weird coincidences cause big events to occur, but I also believe that we are responsible for our own paths based on the choices we make.

Do you believe in karma?
I certainly want to. I think often times karma plays out, though there are times that bad things happen to good people too...

Everyone has a unique laugh. Do you like yours?
Haha, I don't really know- don't pay a lot of attention to it. Too busy laughing. I love to laugh.

Is love really all you need?
Yes, but not limited to just your husband/wife, also your family, friends, love for yourself etc.

What's your take on the whole 2010 scare?
I think Eric has watched a show on this when I wasn't paying attention. We seemed to survive all of the other scares, so I'm sure we'll survive this one...

If you won a million dollars and had to give it all away, who would you give it to? (family and friends not included)
Do I also have endless free time? Because I'd love to get to know some people who need money and then give it to them. I do give money to charities, but I'd rather the money go STRAIGHT towards a person I know truly needs it. And let's be honest, I'm a kindergarten teacher so it's probably going to go to a kid or two who needs it.

Do you believe in God/religion/the power of prayer?
Yes, I do believe in God. I believe that religion is good for some people. However, I do not believe that God would want people to use religion to be hateful towards each other. In fact it is my pet peeve when people use religion as an excuse to disagree with certain lifestyles or people of other religions. I also do not believe that God gets hung up on some of the little things that certain religions think he does...

What New Year's Resolution do you always make but never keep?
Hmm...I don't think I ever make the same one twice: if it didn't work last year, it probably won't work again.

That's all! Catch you guys tomorrow.
2 days until I become a Blackberry owner. If you have a good reason I should get a Droid instead, speak now or forever hold your peace :)

  3. I think I mimght be the only person who was oblivious to this whole 2012 thing. I feel like I live under a rock or something!

It was fun reading your answers. I also had such a hard time answering the first question. I have been lucky to have been to so many great places. Picking just one was so tough!!

  5. Psh, tour all the way! Before you buy the Droid I challenge you to find one person who has had it for at least three months without problems (not saying there are typically problems with it, just a good rule of thumb when buying a phone). As for the tour? Well I can be your one person who has had it for 4+ months with no issues : ) And I am the queen of phone issues!
I like your answer to does fate exist.
Anddd the Elliptical challenge was fun! Thanks for holding it, I'm sad I kind of didn't get to do as much as I wanted because of Disney and marathon training/sickness getting in the way.

  9. Totally agree with you on the religion thing. It annoys me when religious people are intolerant of other religions as well. Hello?!

I'm jealous of all your travel plans.

  10. I love the 10 on Tuesday. I should start doing that.

I agree what you said about God not wanting people to use religion to hate on each other. That really irritates me!
