Wine and Love

It's Thursday and time for a little wine and love :)

Wine

1. I failed at making time for blogging or reading this week. I don't like when that happens.

2. My blog has been spacing all my posts really weird and I don't like it.

3. I really wish I had normal sleeping ability and did not decide to think about five year olds, or anything else at 3:00 in the morning.

Love

1. This week was the 90th day of school, which means halfway through the year. This means mid-year assessment time which usually is a big fat wine. This year though I'm really proud of my kids and I'm having fun looking at all the progress they have made.

2. I am getting better at using my gift cards ever since I confessed to my ridiculous number that I hoard. Last week I got a free dinner and ice cream, free frozen yogurt on Sunday and a free dinner tonight. We will just not mention that tonight I forgot the paper and had to actually come home at the end of the meal to grab it (luckily the restaurant in 2 minutes away but still).

3. I ate well this week. Last night we went to dinner at my mom and dad's and my mom tried out a new delicious recipe. Then today, one of my student's mom's made me Vietnamese Egg Rolls for the Asian New Year. This is the second time this school year I have had authentic Chinese/Vietnamese food made for me, I could easily get used to this.

Maybe not the most eventful week, but a good one still. I'm looking forward to a weekend of relaxation in these parts! What are you guys up to?

  1. Sounds like you had a busy week! This week was tough for me as I still had a little bit of a lingering sinus infection so I felt out of it and tired all week. Also have some work stress happening which is never fun to deal with. BUT tomorrow is Friday and that's all that matters :)

  2. Mmm, homemade egg rolls sound amazing! I totally forgot about the Asian new year!

This weekend I'm going out for Mexican on Friday and then celebrating on Saturday night with friends for my birthday. Should be fun!

  3. Sounds like a good week! I also secretly hoard things. Gift cards is one of them! I usually end up using them to buy gifts for other people!

  4. Sounds like you've had a busy week! I am glad it included some good/fun things, though. I hope you sleep well this weekend. I wish we were better at sleeping. How can a person be bad at a basic human need?

I am glad this week is coming to an end. The recovery process has been slow going and frustrating for me. I am starting to feel better though, and more like myself. And I didn't cry yesterday. Woo hoo! Every other day this week I would cry for NO REASON. And I just remembered i bought a groupon for a massage and the massage is this Sunday. It was booked back in November, so I had totally forgot about it!!

  6. This post made me hungry!!!!! The amount of assessment I am doing for my program and the fact that it's not doing anything/useful besides making me hyper aware of the abilities in my room ismy major wine.

  7. Blogspot does weird things to my blog too, usually it involves the font (making it way too big!). It's really annoying, isn't it??
I'm happy to hear you are looking forward to mid-year assessments! That's wonderful.
MY wine is that I have a TON of stuff to do on my two days off this week, but my love is that I finally got my wedding invites out! That was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders :)
