Let's just say...I am not a shoe person. Bags? YES. Love them. Would gladly carry a new one once a week. When it comes to shoes, I would much prefer if the rest of the world was on board with me living in flip flops, uggs, and sneakers. Actually I pretty much do. The problem is when I am in other people's weddings they do not seem to be on the board with the flip flop idea (til Ash gets married, then flip flops will be required I'm sure). So I have to find shoes to wear.
I know people who are good at deciding about things like shoes need info so I am ready to tell you all that you need to know. I am wearing this dress from JCrew in the Vintage Burgundy color. The wedding is in Boston in a couple of weeks (as opposed to a summer wedding or something ha ha). The instructions from the bride were to wear black shoes. So here are the choices. None of these pictures particularly flatter the shoes, but hopefully you can get the point.
Oh and in case you are concerned with things like comfort, I have never worn Pair #1. I wore Pair #2 to Timna's wedding, they were pretty comfortable- hurt by the end of the night. Pair #3 I wore to Tiff's bachelorette and they were okay, but hurt after awhile as well. I plan to be in flip flops after pictures at this wedding so I'm not TOO worried about comfort, within reason. I really like Pair #1 but are they too casual? is the wedge thing weird?
Pair #1 (yes I will remove the 8 sticker before wearing haha)
So...now tell me which ones to wear and tell me quick. Tomorrow afternoon I HAVE to decide so I can bring my dress to get hemmed. Seriously. I must do it.
Also you may want to check back tomorrow afternoon/night. I will likely post pictures of my Halloween costume I am wearing to work. Let's just say I have figured out a way to wear pink PJs to work and call it a costume. Amazing.
Def not pair 3....I would pick pair 2 (or if you must pair 1)
ReplyDeleteI vote pair 1! I always find wedges to be the most comfortable choice. And if you know that the other options will hurt at some point anyway, why not try something new? Plus peep-toed shoes are awesome.
ReplyDeleteooo tough call! I'd probably go with pair 2...but I'm just a strappy shoe sort of girl for dressy events ;)
ReplyDeletepair 1!
ReplyDeletepair 2!
ReplyDeleteI vote pair 1 definitely!!!! :o)
ReplyDeleteI vote for pair #1! Wedges are usually pretty comfortable!
ReplyDeletePS: Are you really wearing a white bridesmaid dress?? Ope, nevermind I just scrolled back up and saw that you wrote you were wearing that dress in the burgundy colour! Haha. PRETTY!!
I'm so with you on NOT being a shoe person! I will say that pair number 1 look comfy and cute. I hear open-toed dress shoes are the big trend this year.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the pics... I love jammies!
I'm not a shoe person either! I wear my tennis shoes with my custom orthotics allll the time, haha. I love bags too, though! I'd go with 1 or 2 :)
ReplyDeleteI will be the only one tossing my vote to pair 3! I think the heel is low enough that you can rock it all night long!
ReplyDeleteI like #1.
ReplyDeletei'm either wearing flip flops or slippers in my wedding. the girls had to ask me about shoes and i was like ummmmmmmmm really hadn't crossed my mind . im so with you on the shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love #1. They are not too casual - the peep toe makes them a little bit more interesting and I love wedges. Super comfy and easy to walk in which is a major plus.
ReplyDeleteGood luck! I can't wait to see pics of you in the dress!
I like the first ones! Like you, I wish we could all wear flip flops 24/7. Nick and I wear our flip flops around until the first day we see snow, haha.
ReplyDeleteI also like the strappy ones. Have fun dressing up today!
I'm not a shoe person either... at least not a HEEL person.
ReplyDeleteI think pair #1 are the cutest, though.
Pair 1 is super cute! I'm not a shoe fan either... that's why I love living in FL where I can wear flops year round!!!
ReplyDeletei like 1! the wedge is super cute and comfy !
ReplyDeleteI also vote for # 1 - I think my least favorite for a wedding in Boston in November would be #2 - your toes will freeze!
ReplyDeletei was going to say #2 (for the same reason as Karena, i tend to favor strappy things haha) but they may be more of a summer shoe.. so i choose #1
ReplyDeleteI like pair 2 the best. If the weather permits it. Otherwise, pair 1
ReplyDeletePair 2 - a dress like that needs a heel NOT a wedge! Way too informal. And pair 3 are way to casual!
ReplyDeleteI love shoes ... and bags...
ReplyDelete#2 are most 'like' the dress. Have fun!
I'm thinking pair 2 are going to go best with the dress. Which is really pretty by the way.
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm always the wedding guest that stashes a pair of flip-flops in my purse and whips them out at the reception.
And I'm with you. I wear my brown Rainbow flip-flops in the summer and my Uggs in the winter. That's it. I'm very simple lol.
Pair 2 but I do like pair 3 for work or something else. My daughter wore wedges when she got married and she never had any foot pain...I'm just not a fan of wedges though.
ReplyDeleteI love pair #1 but pair #2 would work as well. Definitely not pair #3 though.
ReplyDeletea good pair of black shoes are a staple! Love 'em all, girl :) p.s. I'm a size 8 too sooooo yeah, can we share?! ;)
