6:15 wake up, but who cares about weekends when you are a baby? Nurse. Eat breakfast. Play. Change diapers x 2. Feed Max breakfast. Run some errands- Walgreens, Trader Joes, Starbucks- Max hangs out in the Ergo the whole time. Contemplate an important life question: how do people parent without a baby carrier? Put Max down for a nap. Try to find an oatmeal muffin recipe that won't make me crazy, conclude that all baking and cooking makes me crazy. Order Max a stocking. Nurse Max and play with him again. Go get eyebrows wax. Go to the gym and swim laps with a crazy guy who cared a lot more about his workout than sharing a lane. Eat lunch. Get a few random things done. Try to comfort Max when he wakes up angry. Drive to brother and sister in law's house. Hang out. Drink wine. Take shots of Palinka. Eat dinner. Take a walk in their neighborhood. Drive home- sit in the back seat to keep Max awake. Nurse and put Max to bed. Read an article on FB that reminds me of funny shows I watched as a kid. Start reading articles and watching Youtube videos of those shows- Where in the World in Carmen Sandiego? Ghostwriter and The Secret World of Alex Mac. This post.

Thanks for reading these posts all week :) Tell me about your favorite TV shows, books and movies as a kid. I loved Babysitters Club books and Sweet Valley High. For movies I watched Little Rascals, Sandlot and The Parent Trap too many times to count.

  1. Oh man, the crazy guy in the lane is the #1 thing that kept me from swimming laps when I had a gym membership because that would give me major anxiety and offset any benefits of swimming. ;) Sounds like you had a fun, full day! My day was great. I ran on the treadmill, checked out a new yarn shop, grocery shopped, started knitting a new hat for myself and then went over to Phil's as we hosted some friends for dinner and games. We played Balderdash which is one of my favorites and this other game called Compatibility which was interesting/fun!

Let's see, favorite books were BSB club but I also loved the author Cynthia Voight. She wrote a book called Dicey's Song that sucked me in so I read every other book by her that our library had. We did not own very many movies when I was growing up and what we owned was mostly disney stuff, and we didn't have cable so I didn't watch many movies. But I did love Where in the World is Carmen San Diego, Ghostwriter, Life Goes On, and Full House!

  2. Busy busy day! I loved sweet valley, babysitters, boxcar children and nancy drew books. I was a fan of ghostwriter, where in the world, sandlot, parent trap, full house, and the lion king.

  3. GHOSTWRITER! I loved that show. Glad to know it exists on YouTube.

Favorite movies: The Sandlot, Angels in the Outfield, Rookie of the Year (we watched lots of baseball movies because my brother, 5 years my junior, loved all things baseball).

And books, yup on the babysitter's club. I also devoured all the Little House on the Prairie books!

  4. "6:15 wake up, but who cares about weekends when you are a baby?" -- hahaha! If it makes you feel any better I got up at 6:15 on Sunday too as I had a 7am work presentation :)

Sounds like your Saturday was super packed but also super fun!
