Weekend Ups and Down

Weekend Ups

1. Freaking delicious dinner on Friday night. I swear to God I just want to move into Il Casale. Or better yet... I could just hire them to be my personal chefs and cook dinner for me every night? Yes, yes, I will put that on my "when I win the lottery" list. The list is long friends.

2. Bruins Game! A few weeks ago my friend Becca messaged me to see if Eric and I want to go to a Bruins game with her. I haven't been to a game in a few years (read: since they have been good) so I was psyched. Plus I haven't seen Becca in way too long. We ended up having a great night, and the Bruins won!

3. Boston weather still hasn't realized it's December and I am loving every second of it. Eric and I went for a really long walk on Sunday and it literally changed my Sunday around. I swear no matter how exhausted and crappy I feel, a walk outside is always a good solution.

Weekend Downs

1. I slept crappy all weekend. Friday night I just had trouble sleeping for no apparent reason. Then Saturday I went to bed late and obviously still woke up at 7am. Why oh why? I really am just not good at losing sleep. Yes, hiring a night nurse for my future babies is on my "when I win the lottery" list too.

2. I had class on Saturday. God I hate class. I know it will be worth it when I reach Masters + 15 credits and get a pay raise. But until then, having class on Saturdays should be outlawed. Also on the outlaw list? Getting out of class 25 minutes late and classes on Mondays which I also have right now. Mental note to self: In the same way your 7th grade math teacher declared you "not a back of the room person," you are also not an in-class person, take only online classes from now on. PS. Eric is right, you do enjoy self torture.

Tell me the ups and downs of your weekend. Also, check back tomorrow for a giveaway! :)

  1. I stay up really late on the weekends...and wake up really early. Its the curse of adulthood. If I sleep in until 7:30, I feel like a winner!

The weather here is crazy warm now too. I finished decorating for Christmas in my shorts and a tshirt and the windows open. What is going on?!

  2. While I have some issues with the team you support (Canucks fan here. And no, I was not one of the jackanapes who tried to burn down the city afterwards. And if I'm being honest, we completely deserved to lose that game. It wasn't even close and if we had somehow miraculously won, I would have told everyone Boston was robbed. Anyway, I've gone off on a tangent...), super jealous that you got to a game. Our market is ridiculously expensive and I don't see myself getting to a game anytime soon. Boo-urns!

  3. I was working on finishing up my paper ALL weekend. I did get in some breaks to spend a bit of time with friends, but I seriously sat and worked for HOURS trying to make the deadline. At least part of that was in bed surrounded by pillows and snacks!

Best part of the weekend was a Friendsgiving dinner that my friend cooked. Great food and such a nice thing to have when I had been working all day on writing!

  4. Soak up that weather while you can! The weather here is pretty non-winter too, but it's rainy and gross so I almost wish it WAS winter weather (snow is better than rain, which is so ugly).
Ups for my weekend was a family reunion, my "down" was the 2 hours I had to spend sanding cabinets. Blah.

  5. Ugh, still can't believe you had class on Saturday. I am glad that you had a good weekend despite that!

    Ups:
    - celebrating by friend's son's 1st birthday
    - video chatting with Amber
    - Feeling good about all I accomplished on Sunday (I woke up wide awake at 5:30!!)

    Downs:
    - Getting the stomach flu on Friday :(
    - My sinus infection has not gone away and seems to be getting worse again. Bleh.

  6. Looks like a pretty great weekend overall! But not being able to sleep without any good explanation is sooo frustrating! Hope you're not too tired this week.

  7. I have been sleeping really crappy lately too :( I have had this awful hacking cough that only seems to become a problem when I'm sleeping and then I wake up in the middle of the night coughing for an hour straight. UGH. It's been going on since last Thursday night and I'm pretty sure I'm going to die of sleep deprivation soon!

Yay for the Bruins game though! I bought Eric Canucks tickets for Christmas so we're going to a game in March. Can't wait, haven't been to an NHL game in 3 or 4 years!

  8. I am taking a master's class this summer and am making sure it is online. I don't even care what class I take, as long as it is online haha.
