We have had an unusually rainy start to the summer but I'm ok with it as it's meant mild temps and low a/c bills =)

No races on the agenda for the summer but a hopeful one in October: a half =) Norahttp://walkingwithnora.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4030496918044060645.post-21977279869665621702013-06-07T18:04:56.977-04:002013-06-07T18:04:56.977-04:00That sounds like an awesome garden! Was hoping for downtime tonight but I have an evening meeting, whomp whomp. I have a half-marathon this Sunday, a 16 km race (with part of it being the grouse grind) the following Saturday, a 21 km trail race in July, a half-marathon at the end of July, my 50 km on August 10, an 18 km trail race on September 1 and then Chicago Marathon in october. And then I'm taking November and December off running. Maybe. Ha!

Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05185652640389232120noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4030496918044060645.post-44463722690900523392013-05-29T19:47:18.864-04:002013-05-29T19:47:18.864-04:00Wait - it's been almost 3 years since your wed...Wait - it's been almost 3 years since your wedding??? How is that possible? I thought it was like 2! Time flies! I really hope I can swing a trip up during the summer so I can check out the cape, but if that doesn't work, I will just have to come next summer I guess!

I don't have any races in sight besides Chicago which I honestly am feeling more and more pessimistic about being able to do. But we'll see. I will still go either way, but it will be a huge bummer to spectate instead of running... Today is my last day in the boot, though, and hopefully I am back to running in 2-3 weeks!Lisa from Lisa's Yarnshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05335500882510597919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4030496918044060645.post-861237634045559192013-05-29T17:30:07.408-04:002013-05-29T17:30:07.408-04:00Umm.. And just visit it...

You guys can send some rain to AZ! ;)

That's awesome that you're doing tri's now. I'm just getting into them too, and love it! The forced cross training is so good for you, too! Balancing the 3 sports can be tricky though. Especially if you like to lift weights or do yoga. It looks like now that this is the last week of school, districts are getting their butts in gear. I have two interviews this week, so hopefully something happens.
As for races, Dam to Dam (20K) is this weekend and I am sure I'll train for the Des Moines Half again (which is in October) I'm gonna have to find something else to keep me busy in between D2D and the half though!Amber @ A Little Pink in the Cornfieldshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06898255649481697297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4030496918044060645.post-75543991398020791882013-05-28T11:56:02.068-04:002013-05-28T11:56:02.068-04:00Ha, I love how work is getting in the way of havin...Ha, I love how work is getting in the way of having fun. I mean, ain't that the truth for most of us!?!? ha. Sounds like you have a fun summer ahead - having races on the calendar is such a good way to stay motivated!

For the first time in forever, I'm taking a more casual approach to racing. As in, I want to enter races, but only if I'm going to have fun. This coming weekend, I'm doing a glow in the dark 5K. And in July, I'm going to do a color run. There is also a Hot Chocolate 15K in November that I might do if my running really picks up this summer.Nilsa @ SoMi Speakshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08474642034399063234noreply@blogger.com
